The Liaoning Chaoyang Bird Fossil National Geopark is located at No. 100 Longniao Street, Longcheng District, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, with a total area of 600000 square meters. This park is a 4A level scenic spot, renowned for its rich collection of ancient fossils and geological structures, and is known as the "world fossil treasure trove" and the "Pompeii of the Mesozoic era". The main geological relics in the park include paleontological fossils, fossil bearing strata, etc., which record a very important stage in the evolution history of life on Earth. There are Chaoyang Paleontological Fossil Museum and Geological Corridor in the park, which will undergo comprehensive upgrading and renovation starting from October 8, 2024, and are expected to reopen on May 1, 2025. During the opening period, the park is open from 09:00 to 16:00 every day and is open year-round. Tourists can enjoy convenient transportation services. The park is about 2 kilometers away from the high-speed railway station and 3 kilometers away from the highway intersection, with convenient transportation. In addition, the park has been awarded more than ten titles such as "Ministry of Land and Resources Science Popularization Base", "National AAAA Tourist Attraction", "National Paleontological Fossil Science Popularization Base", etc. It is an ideal destination that integrates science popularization and tourism.
